BEST TOURIST SPOT IN MANUKAN

BUILDINGS and STRUCTURES

Manukan is one of the most dynamic and progressive municipalities in Zamboanga del Norte, and few of the things that could prove that are the number of buildings and structures it has.

COMMERCIAL CENTER

Aside from the rooster-shaped museum, the residents of Manukan also boast of their commercial center, which somewhat looks like a ship if viewed from a certain angle.

The building is located in the exact center of downtown Manukan where the old public market was formerly sited. It is considered to be among the cleanest wet and dry market in the Philippines and the first modern market building in Zamboanga del Norte.

OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP - PARISH CHURCH

Have you gone inside an octagonal church? Manukan is definitely the place where you can find one. Aside from the shape, the pieces you ought to see are the bell tower, the cross on top, the fine architecture of the facade and interiors, the ornamented altars, and the Romanesque-inspired vaults. The Ciborium of the Holy Trinity and those altars attached to the wall of the chancel are the focal points of the church interior. You see, the church is not typical as those colonial churches in the Philippines mostly visited by tourists. But with its details and colors, you will surely find yourself gaping in delight.

It's funny how a church turned into a garage.
